You Memories Come Back Fast
When it comes to photography, the most time-consuming part is the post-processing. This is when the editing of the images is happening. Depending on the number of photos I have to edit, the clients are waiting on their images. They may not get images until a month or two later because they have to be either printed or mailed. The images are too large to send digitally. I started looking for apps to upload client photos but the subscriptions cost too much. I looked at myself and said, "I am a designer and developer. I can create my own!" Therefore, I can create my own subscription-based digital photo album platform where clients can get their images faster through subscription.

Stripe Intregration
Changing My Payment Processor
The challenging process with the development of the photo album is getting familiar with the integration of the Stripe Payment Processor. I intended to use Braintree Payments because I was familiar with the API, but they changed up their process to accessing development keys. All the test was completed using their sandbox. My volume was too low to get the development credentials. I can understand that, but it wasn't like that before. I was bringing in some money and growing. Because of the volume, I couldn't use it anymore. I had to search for another processor I have a blog, From Braintree To Stripe, available detailing my frustrations with the process. Check it out!Stripe Experience
The most essential feature for handling payments is subscriptions. I know that Stripe is a robust platform for processing payments securely and efficiently. I chose Stripe because I was able to get it up and running fairly quickly. The online documentation was great, but they needed to update the documentation when someone downloaded the samples because the code was different than what was online so I just stuck with what was online. Once I got used to the API coding structure, I was able to set up everything that I needed and wanted the subscription to do. A client can create their online digital album. At $10.00 a month, they will have access to their phone 24/7 with the first 3 days free.
